REMEMBRANCE DAY

"Think of a light beyond the tunnel; there is always hope. Keep fighting until the end - no matter how difficult.” -- Ossie 2012 Worrier Games

To my cousin, Veteran Aviation Machinist's Petty Officer 2nd Class Oswald (Ossie) Gould and all veterans that give their life, physical, emotional, psychological presence, skills, heart, mind, soul and spirit on the line so willingly that we can continue to experience peace, freedom and liberty. Thank you.

,
In preparation of remembrance and celebration of Ossie’s life his sister Patricia Gould, a veteran herself and his niece Tennille Gould ran the 10K half marathon Celebration Run San Diego, in Mission Bay, Bonita Cove San Diego on Sunday, November 1, 2015.

Ever the athlete, Ossie loved to run, running was his therapy and he loved to compete. In his last competitive race, a mixed 4 x 100-meter relay at Oceana Naval Air Station in Virginia Beach, he won a bronze medal while going through chemo for stage 4 nasopharyngeal cancer, now that’s a champion!

I know he was happy perched on high wings tucked in watching with excitedly with sparking eyes as his family honored and celebrated his life.
Ossie - Son, Brother, Uncle, Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class, Veteran, Husband, Father, Friend, Athete, family, Child of God, you are forever missed.
